Hambrook 'Groom Emsworth Bride.

The wedding took place at St. Joseph's Church, Havant on Saturday, of Pte Denis Collins, R.A.S.C. only son of Mr and Mrs D.Collins, of Athlene House, Hambrook, and Miss Marjory Gladys Heath second daughter of Mr and Mrs F.Heath, of Sultan Road, Emsworth. The Rev. Canon F.W. Bailey officiated.

Given away by her father , the bride was attired in a full-length gown of crepe silk brocade, fashioned on Victorian lines with sash and long close-fitting sleeves. She also wore silver shoes and white silk gloves. Her head-dress comprised a wreath of orange blossom, held in position by an embroidered net veil Her gold cross and chain were the gift of the bridegroom.

The bridesmaids were Misses Collins (sister of the bridegroom), Joan Bartlett, and Yvonne and Sheila Heath (sisters of the bride). The two former wore dresses of ice-blue, with blue headdresses  and vails. They carried bouquets of pink tulips. Their necklace's were the gift of the bridegroom. The latter pair were dressed in white crepe adorned with pink sprays and pink headdresses and caps. They carried Victorian posies. The duties of the best man were performed by Mr. H. Moss. After the ceremony, a reception was held at the Jeffery Hall, Southbourne.
